Leviticus 5:1-6 It is a sin as a witness to not speak what you know to be true and withhold information in a court of law. It is a sin to touch anything that God deems unclean. It is a sin to speak an oath rashly whether or good or ill. When it is made known to that person that they committed these things, they need to confess the sin and bring compensation to the Lord a female lamb or goat as a sin offering.
Notes: An oath the speaker should not or could not keep. This profanes the name of the Lord.
Leviticus 5:7-10 If poor, then two turtledoves or two pigeons may be offered, one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.
Leviticus 5:11-13 If very poor, then a tenth of an ephah (22 liters – 11 bottles of soda) of fine flour may be offered.
Notes: Minus the oil and frankincense.
Leviticus 5:14-19 Grain Offering – Unintentional sins committed must offer a ram and offer a restitution for what was done by offering 1/5 more and give it to the priest.
Notes: Restitution was made to the priest if the sin was against the Lord’s property, else it would go to the person where loss was involved.
