Exodus - Chapter 30

Exodus 30:1-10 The Lord instructs Moses to build the Altar of Incense of Acacia wood, a square cubit, and its height 2 cubits. The horns shall be of one piece overlaid with gold. Two golden rings as holders for poles of acacia wood overlaid with gold. It shall go in front of the veil that hides the ark. Fragrant incense shall be burnt on it every morning and twilight. Nothing but the prescribed incense shall be burned on it. Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once a year with the blood of the sin offering for it is most holy to the Lord.

Exodus 30:11-16 Moses was to count the people and give a ransom to prevent a plague, a half a shekel for all twenty years old and up. The money shall be used for the service of the tent.

Exodus 30:17-21 The Lord instructs Moses to build a bronze basin and stand for washing to be put between the tabernacle and the altar filled with water so the priests can wash from it, hands and feet, before going into the tabernacle or near the altar to sacrifice or else they will die.

Exodus 30:22-33 Anointing oil shall be made of myrrh, cinnamon, cane, cassia, and olive oil. The oil shall then anoint the tabernacle, ark, table, lampstand, altar of incense, and the altar of offering so that they be sanctified and made holy. Aaron and his sons shall be anointed with the oil. The oil shall not be poured on anything but what is mentioned above and must be made exactly like described above else that person will be cut off from the people.

Exodus 30:34-38 The Lord instructs Moses to take stacte, onycha, galbanum, frankincense and make an incense seasoned with salt, pure and holy. It shall be beaten very small and placed before the ark. This incense shall not be replicated for any other purposes. The person that does shall be cut off from the people. This incense was to be used to burn on the Altar of Incense inside the tabernacle.
